TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — A Taylorsville woman is facing multiple felony charges following an identity theft and fraud investigation by the Taylorsville Police Department.

According to a department social media post, investigators launched the investigation on June 12 after receiving allegations involving identity theft and fraud.

As a result of the investigation, 25-year-old Brianna Faye Boughner was charged with multiple counts of identity theft, obtaining property by false pretenses, and financial card theft.

Police say the secured bonds associated with the identity theft charges total $195,000.

The Taylorsville Police Department says it remains committed to investigating financial crimes and protecting community members from fraudulent activity.

No additional details regarding the investigation were immediately released.
