37-year-old James Arthur Blankenship of Taylorsville was arrested Saturday (January 14) by Taylorsville Police Officers. He was charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Blankenship was confined in the Alexander County Detention Center under $20,000 secured bond. He remained in custody as of earlier today (January 18). A District Court date is January 30.
