41-year old James Matthew Allen of Taylorsville was arrested overnight and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving while license revoked, operating a vehicle with no insurance, driving or allowing a motor vehicle to be driven with no registration, and fictitious or altered title, registration card, or tag.

Following his arrest, Allen was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with bond set at $2,000, secured. He remained in jail as of this afternoon (October 3). An appearance in District Court was scheduled for October 16 in Taylorsville.
