37-year-old Ricky James Kilby of Taylorsville was arrested Wednesday (July 5) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of breaking & entering, larceny after breaking & entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. Kilby is also charged with misdemeanor first-degree trespass. He’s also charged with felony possession of methamphetamine in Catawba County.

The charges are in connection to the theft of a motorcycle from a location off Highway 16 South of Taylorsville. Kilby was confined in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $20,000. A District Court date on the Alexander County charges is set for July 10. Kilby has a Catawba County District Court date July 20.
