37-year-old Tod-Jaa Dazujuan Tilley of West Jay Drive in Taylorsville was arrested Monday (March 20) on charges filed by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office and Hickory Police Department. The Sheriff’s Office charged Tilley with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and a child support count. Hickory Police charged him with failure to appear on counts of felony probation violation and resisting a public officer.

Tilley is on probation as a result of a conviction in September, 2022 in Catawba County for felony larceny of a motor vehicle. He received probation and a 24 month suspended sentence. Following this week’s arrest, Tilley was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $6,200 bond. A District Court date was scheduled today (March 23). A Civil District Court date is set for March 29, and Superior Court appearances are scheduled for April 13 and April 20.
