TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — A Taylorsville man already facing felony charges in Alexander and Catawba counties has been arrested on a fugitive warrant from the State of Georgia.

According to authorities, 43-year-old Christopher Jason Kistler of Millersville Road was stopped by the North Carolina Highway Patrol around midnight Wednesday. During the stop, troopers determined Kistler was wanted in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

The warrant stems from charges that include possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a firearm during a crime, and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office took custody of Kistler and transported him to the Alexander County Detention Center.

Investigators say Kistler is already facing pending 2025 charges in Alexander County, including felony trafficking methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was also indicted by a Catawba County Grand Jury in January on a felony possession of methamphetamine charge.

Kistler is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $250,000 secured bond.
