Taylorsville, Caldwell County Receive State Grants for Healthcare and Industrial Growth

Governor Josh Stein announced Thursday that North Carolina’s Rural Infrastructure Authority has approved more than $4 million in grants statewide, including funding for projects in Taylorsville and Caldwell County.

The Town of Taylorsville will receive a $125,000 Building Reuse grant to renovate a former commercial building for VitalNow Urgent Care. The project will create 10 jobs and bring expanded outpatient healthcare services to the community, backed by a private investment of more than $166,000.

Meanwhile, Caldwell County was awarded nearly $710,000 for sewer infrastructure improvements at the Foothills Regional Airport Industrial Park. County leaders say the upgrades will support development of more than 1,000 acres at the site, positioning the industrial park for future business recruitment and job creation.

State officials say the grants help rural communities strengthen infrastructure, attract investment, and support long-term economic growth.
