The Wittenburg Swim Beach remains closed. The water quality test results officials received this morning (July 3) do not meet Duke Energy’s established safety guidelines, so the Wittenburg Swim Beach will remain closed.

Because another water sample cannot be collected until Monday (July 6), the swim beach will remain closed throughout the weekend.

Officials stated in a news release that they apologize for the inconvenience, but the safety of our residents and visitors is our top priority.  They thanked residents for their patience and understanding.
