VALDESE, N.C. (WHKY) – The Burke County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death in which the individual was found early this morning (July 20). Shortly after 3 a.m., deputies responded to an address on Barus Pond Loop, Valdese, in reference to a suspicious death. The Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the circumstances of the death. They have requested assistance and resources from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations. Additional Information will be released as it becomes available.
