32-year-old Johnny Allen Wade, Jr. of Heavner Avenue in Connelly Springs and 31-year-old Curston Shay Graybeal of Sugar Hill Heights Drive in Marion were arrested Monday (November 29) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. Both suspects are charged with felony counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver meth, and posession of meth. Wade is additionally charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Following a brief investigation, Burke County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators served a search warrant at an address on Heavner Avenue in Connelly Springs. The search was conducted Monday. Johnny Allen Wade, Jr. and Curston Shay Graybeal were detained during the search.
Approximately 1.13 pounds (513 grams) of meth and drug paraphernalia were reportedly seized by officers. Both Wade and Graybeal were arrested and charged. Graybeal was released from the Burke County Jail after just a few hours after posting $103,000 secured bond. Wade was placed in that same facility under $105,000 secured bond. He remained in jail as of earlier today (December 3).
Wade has several upcoming court dates on various charges, the next appearance on the charges filed Monday is scheduled for December 17 in District Court. Graybeal’s next District Court appearance is scheduled for January 31.
