Suspects Arrested On Drug Charges In Alexander County
Two men face drug charges following arrests in Alexander County. As the result of a traffic stop in Hiddenite, 45-year-old Bobby Wayne Byers of Stony Point was arrested and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. According to the North Carolina Department Of Adult Correction Offender Public Information website, his criminal history includes convictions in Alexander and Iredell Counties dating back to 2003, with the most recent being in 2018.
42-year-old Bradley Joe Byers of Catawba is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine along with misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His criminal history includes misdemeanor drug and assault convictions in September, 2001 in Iredell County.
Bond for both suspects was set at $5,000 secured. Neither suspect was listed as an inmate in Alexander County today (March 24). Both suspects are scheduled to appear in District Court April 10.
