Suspects Already Facing Charges Jailed Following Traffic Stop
30-year-old William Lee Power of Statesville and 26-year-old Paige Elizabeth O’Neill of Stony Point were arrested Sunday (October 29) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. Both suspects are charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
The two suspects were arrested following a traffic stop in Alexander County Sunday. Both suspects were already facing charges at the time of their arrest Sunday. O’Neill has pending charges in Iredell County that include felony possession of meth, felony probation violation, larceny and resisting a public officer. Power awaits trial in Iredell County for felony counts of possession of meth and possession of a firearm by a felon.
According to the North Carolina Department Of Adult Correction Offender Public Information website, O’Neill is on probation as a result of a conviction on August 31 of this year in Iredell County for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance. She also has a felony drug conviction listed in Iredell County in April, 2018. According to the same website, William Lee Power has convictions listed in March, 2018 and July, 2014, both in Iredell County. The most recent conviction was for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance.
Both suspects remained in the Alexander County Detention Center as of earlier today (October 31). Power’s bond is listed at $30,000 secured, bond for O’Neill is $5,000 secured. Power was scheduled to appear in District Court Monday (October 30), no upcoming court dates were listed in Alexander County. His next Iredell County District Court date is November 29. O’Neill’s next District Court date in Alexander County is November 13. She had an Iredell County Superior Court date scheduled today.
