41-year-old Matthew Orren Fuller of Original Drive in Statesville was arrested last Friday (October 20) by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony indecent liberties with a minor.

According to published reports, the Sheriff’s Office began investigating the case on September 20, 2023 after receiving a report from the Iredell County Department of Social Services regarding the possible sexual assault of a child. The case was assigned to Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit. Based on witness statements and additional evidence collected during the investigation, a warrant was obtained charging Fuller with indecent liberties with a minor.

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office says Fuller is currently on probation which was imposed following a conviction for two counts of felony larceny. He was convicted in Iredell County in July, 2022 and received probation and a 24 month suspended sentence. There are multiple traffic charges pending against Fuller in Iredell County, including speeding, driving while license revoked, and no liability insurance.

Fuller was arrested by a Sex Offender Compliance Deputy last Friday. He was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he was initially jailed under a $75,000 bond. As of earlier today (October 26), Fuller was being held in jail under $92,000 secured bond. District Court dates are set for November 8 and November 14.
