ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. (WACB) – A Hiddenite man was placed in jail without bond. 49-year-old Chadrick Deon Lackey of Hill River Road in Hiddenite, was arrested Monday and charged with felony probation violation.

According to our news partner WACB, court documents indicate that Lackey was ordered to enroll in an inpatient treatment program and records show he failed to do so. The suspect was told that if he failed to enroll within 30 days he would be arrested for felony probation violation. On Monday, a judge upheld the decision to deny bond until the next session of Superior Court.

Lackey was convicted in April for felony fraud and possession of schedule II controlled substance. He was given a 30 month suspended sentence.
