36-year-old Michael Thomas Bzik of Concord was arrested in connection to a bank robbery in March in Statesville. He was taken into custody Monday (April 17) in Allentown, Pennsylvania and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and also with being a fugitive from justice.

This arrest stemmed from a robbery March 10, 2023 at Bank of America at 1616 East Broad Street. Investigators from the Statesville Police Department along with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations traveled to Allentown, PA and met with the Pennsylvania State Police. Investigators questioned several individuals while in Allentown and gained further evidence against Bzik.

Surveillance was conducted on Bzik, at which time he was taken into custody without incident. He was taken before a local judge and charged. He was being held in jail in Pennsylvania without bond. No local court dates were listed.
