23-year-old Dallas James McDaniel, Jr. of Taylorsville was arrested Monday (January 8) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony counts of breaking & entering and larceny after breaking & entering.
In addition to the Alexander County charges, McDaniel faces allegations in two other counties. Multiple charges are pending against McDaniel in Caldwell County. They include larceny, possession of stolen goods and second-degree trespassing. His next Caldwell County Court date is February 8. McDaniel has a larceny charge awaiting trial in Catawba County as well, a court date on that allegation is set for January 22.
Following Monday’s arrest, McDaniel was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center. He remained in that facility as of earlier today (January 11) under $55,000 secured bond. His next Alexander County Court date is scheduled for January 22.[WACB’s Rick Gilbert contributed to this story]
