TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. (WACB) – An Alexander County man has been arrested and charged with alleged crimes involving child pornography. According to our news partner WACB, on Thursday (September 24) Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested 38-year old Brandon Edward Coulbourn of Little River Estates Drive in Taylorsville.

He’s charged with five-counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The charges are related to the suspect allegedly being in possession of material containing a visual representation of prepubescent females, ages 6-12 engaging in sexual acts with adults.

According to our news partner, Coulbourn has an extensive history of convictions for crimes that include felony counts of trafficking cocaine and obtaining property by false pretense. Coulbourn was being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center.
