Suspect Charged After Report Of Individual Being Pistol-Whipped

21-year-old Dillion Rodriguez Servin of Hiddenite was arrested Sunday (February 4) by authorities in Alexander County. He’s charged with assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault, damage to personal property, resisting a public officer, and probation violation. Servin also faces a felony charge of possession of a stolen firearm.

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and Taylorsville Police Department responded Sunday evening following a report of a victim being pistol-whipped at a location off Hammer Road. The suspect fled the scene on foot. Officers searched multiple locations for hours before Servin was taken into custody.

Servin is on probation as a result of a July, 2022 conviction for misdemeanor possession of stolen goods in Alexander County. According to the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction Offender Public Information website, he received probation and a suspended sentence.

Following Sunday’s arrest, Servin was jailed in the Alexander County Detention Center under $40,000 secured bond. A Superior Court appearance was scheduled Monday (February 5) and a District Court date is March 4.
