A suspect is charged with causing a disturbance in a business. On May 27, deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance at a business on Turnersburg Highway in Statesville.

Investigators say a clerk reported a man had entered the store seeking job information, but refused repeated requests to leave. The suspect allegedly harassed and assaulted an employee, exposed himself inside the business, and made inappropriate remarks before fleeing on foot.

Deputies quickly located the suspect at a nearby business and identified him as 24-year-old Treyvon Latrell Turner, of Statesville. After a brief struggle, he was taken into custody.

He was charged with sexual battery, indecent exposure, and resisting arrest, and given a $5,000 secured bond.
