An Alexander County man recently released from jail found himself back behind bars in less than a week. 58-year-old Kenneth Alan Korte of Princess Lane in Hiddenite, was arrested on May 26 and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $25,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Monday (June 1) in Taylorsville.

When he did not show up for the court date, an order for arrest was issued. Alexander County Deputies returned him to custody where his bond was set at $150,000. No upcoming court dates were listed.
