44-year-old Randy Lewis Watts, whose address was not listed, was arrested Sunday (September 10) by Newton Police Officers. He’s charged with felony attempt to break or enter a building. Randy Lewis Watts was arrested on July 25, as previously reported on WHKY. He listed a Hickory address at the time of that arrest. The charges filed in July were burning a building under construction along with two counts of resisting a public officer.

Following Sunday’s arrest, Watts was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $5,000 bond. He remained in jail as of earlier today (September 12). A District Court date was scheduled Monday (September 11) on the new charge. The next District Court date on the charges filed in July is September 25.
