Stony Point Woman Faces Several Charges Including Assault With A Deadly Weapon

36-year-old Kristie Huffman Cloer of Stony Point, was arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and misdemeanor counts of crime of domestic violence and communicating threats.

Previous charges filed against Cloer in Iredell County include felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substance. She was also previously charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed gun along with traffic counts.

The suspect is also listed as a person involved in an incident that occurred between the morning of January 6 and the evening of January 7 at a location on Harris Street in Stony Point. The police report says the incident was the theft of property but does not specify what Cloer’s involvement was.

Cloer was arrested on the assault and domestic violence charges shortly before 10 p.m. on January 1 at an address on Harris Street in Stony Point. She was not listed as an inmate in the Iredell County Detention Center as of earlier today (January 9). A Superior Court appearance is scheduled for January 16. District Court dates are set for January 23, January 26, and February 19.
