A woman was arrested after a traffic stop in Alexander County. Authorities say the stop involved multiple agencies and led to methamphetamine charges. The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office says deputies conducted the traffic stop Friday (May 22) with assistance from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Homeland Security.

Authorities identified the suspect as 51-year-old Tricia Diane Warren of Open Gate Road in Stony Point. According to the sheriff’s office, Warren was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle to possess methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Warren is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond. Her first appearance in Alexander County District Court was scheduled for Friday.
