STONY POINT, N.C. (WACB) – A missed court date resulted in the arrest of Stony Point man. On Tuesday (September 1), 56-year-old William Herbert Pennell III of Lodge Hill Court was detained for failure to appear. The charge is related to a drug count filed in April. At that time he was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver methamphetamine. Pennell was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $20,000. Also pending are charges filed in January by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of schedule III controlled substance.
