Stony Point Man Facing Multiple Charges In Two Counties

44-year-old Charles Lee Williams of Stony Point was arrested Friday (May 31) by Taylorsville Police Officers. He’s charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Williams was taken into custody early Friday morning. He has several previously filed charges in Alexander and Iredell Counties. We previously reported on one of those Iredell County arrests last week. In Alexander County, Williams faces charges including felony counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of schedule II controlled substance, larceny, and larceny of a firearm.

In Iredell County the charges against Williams include felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine and schedule IV controlled substance and maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place to keep controlled substance.

Williams is a felon as a result of convictions in multiple counties dating back to 1999. He’s been convicted on felony charges in counties including Alexander, Iredell, Caldwell and Watauga. Among those cases is a conviction for felony indecent liberties with a child in Alexander County in 2002. He served two-years in prison for that conviction. The most recent conviction was in August of 2023 in Iredell County for felony possession of schedule II controlled substance.

Following Friday’s arrest, Williams was released on bond. He has multiple court dates scheduled in Alexander and Iredell Counties. His next court appearance in Alexander County is in District Court July 15. An Iredell County District Court date is scheduled Wednesday (June 5).
