STATESVILLE, N.C. (WHKY) — A downtown fundraiser Saturday, October 3, will support assistance for local cancer patients. Lacing Up for Cancer Care will hold its third annual event, with a 5K beginning at 8:30 a.m. and a one-mile event at 8:40.

The fundraiser has moved to downtown Statesville this year. All proceeds benefit the Iredell Health Foundation’s Cancer Care and Patient Support Fund. Organizers welcome runners, walkers and participants in a rocking option. Registration, pricing and event details are available at lacingup.org.
