The Statesville Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance regarding a shooting incident early Tuesday morning (July 11).

Statesville Police responded to reports of gunfire at the Nimbus 9 Lounge on Shelton Avenue just before 3 a.m. yesterday. When Officers arrived, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound across the street from the lounge. The victim, who was determined to be a patron of the Nimbus 9 Lounge, received immediate medical attention at the scene and was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

As of this morning, there was no available information regarding the suspect or suspects involved in the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
