Statesville Man Facing Multiple Charges Jailed In Catawba County

33-year-old Russell Javon Linney of Williams Road in Statesville was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility Tuesday (July 18).

He was arrested in June by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office on five counts of possession with intent to manufacture/sell and deliver methamphetamine, four counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, along with single counts of conspiracy to sell or deliver methamphetamine and possession with intent to manufacture/sell and or deliver schedule II controlled substance. The Catawba County “Who’s In Jail” website shows that Linney has been indicted on those charges.

There are no charges listed against Linney from Catawba County on the North Carolina Judicial Branch website. According to the North Carolina Department Of Adult Correction
Offender Public Information website, Linney was convicted of multiple crimes in Iredell County in 2010 and 2012. Those charges include multiple felony counts of breaking & entering and second-degree burglary.

On Tuesday, Linney was transferred to the Catawba County Detention Facility. He remained in that facility as of earlier today under $209,000 bond. An Iredell County Superior Court date is set for August 15.
