Six LR Women’s Lacrosse Players Earn All-Conference Honors

The South Atlantic Conference announced its All-Conference Women’s Lacrosse team and Lenoir-Rhyne had six players selected. The Bears were led by First Team selections Kaitlyn Cavanaugh and Isabelle Dunnam.

Cavanaugh finished the season with 34 goals and 31 assists for 65 points. The 31 assists rank as the fifth-most in a single season in program history and her 65 points place her in a tie for seventh place. Dunnam finished the season with 37 caused turnovers which ranks second in program history for a single-season and her 124 CT’s for her career is the most by any Bear in team history. Dunnam was a Second Team selection each of the past two years and Cavanaugh earns her first All-Conference selection in her career.

Teanna Sieben took home Second Team All-Conference honors for the second straight season and her 196 saves rank her second in program history behind only herself with 197 saves in 2022. Sieben finished the regular season ranked sixth in the nation in save percentage and fourth in the nation in saves. Joining Sieben on the Second Team is sophomore Chloe Christensen who led the Bears with 39 goals and 59 draw controls.

On the third team is Ellie Campbell and Liz Black. Black was an Honorable Mention selection in 2021 and earns her second All-Conference nod in her career. Black finished the year with 19 caused turnovers and 21 ground balls. Campbell earns her first All-Conference selection and finished the year with 31 goals and four assists and earned SAC Offensive Player of the Week honors on Feb. 20.
