Lucas Besong, Marlin Davis, Chandelor Stamp, Jacob Wadsworth, Kylie Dahlberg, and Saidah Hardwick were named U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region.
Besong, a junior from Camden Wyoming, DE, earned honors in the 400m dash and 4x400m relay race.
Davis, a sophomore from Indian Land, S,C., earned his second straight All-Region honors in the 60m dash, 200m dash, and the 4x400m relay race.
Stamp, a junior hailing from High Point, N.C., earned a spot by being on the 4x400m relay team which fastest time of 3:13.80 is a school record.
Wadsworth, a junior from Dansville, N.Y., earned honors in heptathlon and 4x400m relay. Wadsworth owns the school record in the heptathlon for most points. He was also the Southeast region’s top performer in both of these events.
Dahlberg, a senior from Flagler Beach, Fla., earned honors in the mile race with her fastest time being 5:08.24.
Hardwick, a senior from Rolesville, N.C., earned honors in the 400m dash which she owns the school record in with a 57.29.
To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top-5 individuals in their events in their respective region. In addition, each member of a region’s top-3 relay team was selected for the distinction. Top Regional Performers (TRPs) are denoted with an asterisk.
A total of 1,311 athletes from 99 different institutions earned All-Region honors nationwide with 650 honorees coming from the men’s side and an additional 661 from women’s teams.
