STATESVILLE, N.C. (WHKY) — Sherwin-Williams celebrated its expanded paint plant September 30, saying the facility is now its largest in North America.

The company says improvements cover nearly 50,000 square feet, including additional production space, automation and four new rail spurs.

The project received state and local incentives. Sherwin-Williams, which has operated in Statesville since 1993, says the expansion will improve manufacturing and distribution.
