Several Suspects Charged In Meth Trafficking Operation, Two Jailed Under Combined Bond Of Nearly $10 Million
Eleven suspects have been charged in connection to a methamphetamine trafficking operation. Two of the suspects were jailed under a combined bond amount of close to ten-million dollars.
During the month of July 2023, Narcotics investigators with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team and Special Agents with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations began an investigation into the distribution of crystal methamphetamine within the city of Statesville and other parts of Iredell County.
During the investigation, Deputies seized approximately 1,899 grams of crystal meth and 6.62 grams of Cocaine with an estimated combined street value of $95,500 along with an additional $1,919 in US Currency. Deputies also seized two vehicles and a small amount of marijuana. Ultimately eleven individuals, all with previous criminal records were charged with felony drug offenses.
The investigation began with Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and Special Agents with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations making purchases of crystal methamphetamine and cocaine from 53-year-old William Trimayne Miller of East Raleigh Avenue in Statesville. From July to November, Investigators and Agents reportedly purchased approximately 1,600 grams of meth and 3.76 grams of cocaine directly from Miller. During these undercover purchases, Investigators learned of other subjects throughout Iredell County that were visiting Miller to obtain controlled substances.
Based on this information, Investigators utilized a variety of surveillance techniques to identify these individuals. With assistance from the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team and Patrol Deputies, these suspects were contacted after they left Miller’s residence and if they were found to be in possession of illegal substances, they were taken into custody. Investigators were also able to identify 29-year-old Devin D’Andrae Allen Tomlin of Stokes Street in Statesville as Miller’s source of supply for the crystal meth that was being distributed.
In addition to Miller and Tomlin, the following individuals have been charged: 42-year-old Javon Donte Sherrill, 37-year-old Gerri Campbell Martin, 37-year-old Jimmy Wayne Martin, 33-year-old Traci L. Call, 32-year-old Lauren Rowland, 37-year-old Amber Walker Perry, and 39-year-old Lisa Cheri Whitaker, all of Statesville, along with 52-year-old Timmy Ray Sharpe and 26-year-old Danielle Nicole Allen, both of Mooresville.
Miller was jailed under $6,500,000 secured bond and Tomlin received a $3,000,000 secured bond. They remained in the Iredell County Detention Center as of earlier today (November 17). They’re both scheduled to appear in District Court December 4.
