Search Leads to Felony Drug Arrest on Zion Church Road
28-year-old Jody Crawford Adams, Jr. was arrested Monday (March 27) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Narcotics Officers on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule II narcotics, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for distributing controlled substances, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested when Investigators executed a search warrant at a residence on Zion Church Road. During the search, Investigators reportedly found and seized 29 grams of meth, two grams of fentanyl, a stolen vehicle, and drug paraphernalia.
Adams was taken into custody at the residence and placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $73,000 secured bond. He is no longer listed as an inmate in Catawba County. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled this past Tuesday (March 28) in Newton. No additional court dates are listed in Catawba County; however, Adams is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Lincoln County on April 4 on multiple felony drug charges.
