Authorities in Burke County continue to search for 31-year-old Jason James Lee Sheffield of Teague Avenue in Connelly Springs. He was reported missing in October of last year. He was last seen by his family on August 28, 2022 at South Fork Avenue in Hickory, which is in Burke County.

Investigators were able to locate a family member who gave Mr. Sheffield a ride to his residence in Connelly Springs in September of last year, but he has not been seen or heard from since. Mr. Sheffield is known to visit the areas of Drexel, Morganton, and Hickory.
