School Bus Involved In Crash In Lincoln County

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol reports a crash this morning (October 19) in Lincoln County involving a school bus and multiple vehicles. At approximately 7:30 a.m. today, Highway Patrol responded to NC 16 near Unity Church Road in Denver, N.C. A school bus traveling north on NC 16 failed to adequately reduce speed and collided with a 2011 Ford F-150 that was stopped in the northbound lane due to traffic.

This collision caused the F-150 to collide with a 2010 Mini Cooper, and the Mini Cooper to collide with a 2015 Land Rover. The bus was from the Charter School in Lincoln County. There were 31 children on the bus at the time of the collision and none were injured. The driver of the bus was cited for failure to reduce speed.
