Four COVID-19-related deaths have been reported today (January 9) by Catawba County Public Health, increasing the overall total to 196. 149 new cases of the coronavirus were reported today in Catawba County, raising the total to 12,879. There were 118 people hospitalized with the virus.
Caldwell County health officials learned of three COVID-19-related deaths Friday (January 8), bringing the total deaths in the county to 83. Two of the patients were between the ages of 65 and 74, and the other was over the age of 75. All three patients had underlying conditions, and one was hospitalized.
