GRANITE FALLS, N.C. (WHKY) – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will begin resurfacing a stretch of U.S. 321 South in Caldwell County tonight.
Maymead Inc., of Mountain City, Tennessee, will begin resurfacing U.S. 321 South from just south of Mission Road to just south of U.S. 321A at 9:00 tonight.
Crews may close one lane of U.S. 321 South as the resurfacing project continues nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.
Drivers should obey all posted signage and avoid distracted driving. The $6.5 million contract calls for all resurfacing to finish by early winter.
