Requests For Program Proposals Issued For Juvenile Court Involved Youth In Alexander County

The Alexander County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) has studied the risk factors and needs of Juvenile Court-involved youth in Alexander County, and has issued a Request for Proposals for programs for fiscal year 2024-2025.

The JCPC anticipates receiving $140,199 from the NC Department of Public Safety to fund programs. Such programs will serve delinquent and at-risk youth for the state fiscal year 2024-2025 beginning on or after July 1, 2024. The use of these funds in this county requires a 30 percent local match. Interested program providers may access the full Request for Proposals at

The JCPC will consider proposals for the following needed programs: Clinical Assessment, Psychological Evaluations, Substance Use Assessment, Substance Use Treatment, Problem Sexual Behavior Assessment and Treatment, Home Base Family Counseling, Individual/Group/Family Counseling, Mediation/Conflict Resolution, Restitution/Community Service, Teen Court, Experiential Skill Building, Life Skills, Parent/Family Skill Building, Interpersonal Skill Building, Vocational Development, and Mentoring.

Proposed program services should target the following risk factors for delinquency or repeat delinquency: juveniles who associate with other negative/delinquent/gang-involved peers, parenting skills/family criminal history, mental health (substance use and victimization), and school behavior problems/absences.

Local public agencies, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporations, and local housing authorities are invited to submit applications to provide services addressing the above elements. To apply for FY 2024-2025 JCPC funding, agencies must complete and apply online by accessing NC ALLIES. Please read and follow all instructions at

An information session will be held virtually on Thursday, January 18 at 10:00 a.m. This meeting is mandatory for new programs that are interested in applying for funds.
