As part of the City Walk Extension and Aviation Walk, which are parts of the Hickory Trail project, the City of Hickory is realigning two intersections in the Old Lenoir Road area.

Tomorrow morning (July 21), drivers will see a new traffic pattern creating an intersection at 11th Street N.W., 10th Street Boulevard N.W., and 3rd Avenue Drive N.W. The previous intersections involving those three streets will be permanently closed.

City officials remind motorists to use caution as construction is ongoing through that area.
