The teenager reported to be a runaway on Wednesday (September 27) has been found and is reported to be safe.

On Wednesday, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office requested the public’s help in finding 17-year-old Keeli Shaye Byrd of Lake Drive in Morganton. Police reports stated she ran away from her home on September 15.

Wednesday evening the Burke County Sheriff’s Office issued a news release stating that Keeli Shaye Byrd had been found and was safe, no other details were released.
