The CVCC Foundation’s Kirby Pharmacy Technician Educational Scholarship application period is still open. Those interested can apply until Thursday (September 28). The amount of the award is based upon proceeds from the endowment.

The scholarship will be awarded to a qualified recipient enrolled in the CVCC Pharmacy Technician program during the Fall 2023 semester. Funds may be used for tuition, program materials, and certification examination. Preference will be given to an applicant that is also an Eagle Scout; however, the application is open to all students enrolled in the program.

The Kirby Pharmacy Technical Educational Scholarship was created in memory of Mr. Chris Kirby upon his unexpected death in 2015, at the age of 49. Mr. Kirby was the owner and pharmacist of Bowman Drug in Conover. The application deadline is this Thursday. CVCC’s Pharmacy Technician classes will start on October 18, 2023 at the East Campus.
