Stanley, N.C. (WHKY) – A man walking along a roadway was killed in a Lincoln County crash. The deceased is 33-year-old Jamie Cash of Huntersville.

On Wednesday, (September 30) the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to NC 73 near Cowans Ford Road, in Lincoln County. A 2017 Ford F150 was traveling West on NC 73 and collided with a pedestrian that was walking East on NC 73.

The driver of the Ford was not injured. The pedestrian, Jamie Cash, passed away from his injuries at the scene of the collision. The investigation concluded that speed or impairment were not contributing factors in the collision. At this time, no charges have been filed.
