Parade Scheduled For December 22 to Celebrate Hickory High Football Championship

Hickory High School and the City of Hickory invite the community to attend a celebratory event on Union Square on Friday, Dec. 22, from 6-7 p.m. in honor of the Hickory Red Tornadoes winning the 3A Football State Championship.

The Hickory High School band and cheerleaders will lead the Red Tornadoes football team on a parade from Lowes Foods City Park along the City Walk to Union Square to kick off the celebration.

The event will continue on the Sails Stage with special remarks from Hickory High School Principal Rebecca Tuttle, Hickory City Mayor Hank Guess, and Head Football Coach Joe Glass.

There will be a meet and greet with the players to sign autographs and purchase commemorative merchandise.
