One person has been killed as the result of a hunting accident yesterday (November 20) in Burke County. The deceased is 24-year-old Ethan Hahn of Hildebran.

Monday, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission responded to the area of Adventist Circle in Morganton in reference to a hunting incident. Upon arrival, Deputies found Mr. Hahn, who had sustained a gunshot wound. Mr. Hahn was pronounced deceased at the scene. No foul play is suspected. The investigation is ongoing.

Other agencies involved include the Lake James Fire & Rescue, Longtown Fire, Burke County E.M.S., and the Burke Rescue Squad.
