Olin, N.C. Teen Arrested in Iredell for Stolen Firearm

18-year-old Braydon Taylor Tench of Olin Loop in Olin, North Carolina has been arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers on one felony count of possession of a stolen firearm and misdemeanor counts of carrying a concealed gun, possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Two other 18-year-old male subjects from Mooresville and Union Grove were issued citations for marijuana and paraphernalia.

Tench was arrested on June 22 at a driver’s license checkpoint where a Volkswagen Jetta occupied by the three 18-year-old males was searched. All three were in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Additionally, a handgun was discovered in the vehicle’s front passenger seat area.

A Deputy ran the serial number on the handgun. The gun had been reported stolen out of Charlotte. Tench admitted that the handgun was his.

He was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center and given a $2,500 secured bond. A District Court appearance was set for August 5.
