No New COVID-19-Related Deaths Reported, New Case Totals In Three Hickory Metro Counties In Single Digits: Wednesday Morning Update

Once again, no new COVID-19-associated deaths were reported in the Hickory Metro Tuesday (March 30). 23 new cases of the virus were reported in Catawba County, increasing the total to 17,793, with 293 deaths. Coronavirus hospitalizations remained at 13 in Catawba County, the same total as Monday (March 29).

Five new COVID-19 cases were reported Tuesday in Caldwell County, increasing the total to 8,958, with 140 deaths. There were seven people hospitalized. Two new cases were reported in Alexander County, raising the tally to 4,139, with 84 deaths.

Two new cases of the coronavirus were added in Burke County, increasing the total to 9,702, with 147 deaths. Hospitalizations remained at one in Burke.
