No COVID-19-Related Deaths Reported In Hickory Metro Thursday: Friday Morning Update

No new COVID-19-associated deaths were reported Thursday (April 22) by Catawba County Public Health, leaving the total at 299 since the start of the pandemic. 30 new cases of the coronavirus were reported, lifting the overall total to 18,333. Virus-related hospitalizations remained at nine, the same total as Wednesday’s (April 21) update.

Six new cases of COVID-19 were reported Thursday in Alexander County, raising the total to 4,303, with 86 deaths. Five people were hospitalized. 11 new cases of the coronavirus were reported in Caldwell County Thursday, increasing the total to 9,169, with 145 deaths. Three people were hospitalized. Nine new cases were reported in Burke County, increasing the total to 9,930, with 154 deaths. Ten people were hospitalized in Burke County.

There were no coronavirus-related deaths reported in any Hickory Metro counties Thursday.
