45-year-old Lori Ann Bailey of Mount Olive Church Road in Newton was arrested Wednesday (August 23) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with felony probation violation.

Bailey is on probation as a result of a conviction in September, 2021 in Catawba County for felony possession of schedule I and II controlled substances. She received probation and a 24 month suspended sentence.

Bailey was incarcerated in the Catawba County Detention Facility without bond. She remained in jail as of earlier today (August 24). Bailey was scheduled to appear in Superior Court Wednesday.
