Newton Woman Charged With Meth Possession, Violating Probation

32-year-old Heather Suzanne Tevepaugh of West G Street in Newton was arrested Monday (June 19) by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office on Catawba County charges. She’s charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor probation violation out-of-county.

Tevepaugh is on probation as a result of a conviction on December 16, 2022 in Burke County for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She received probation and a twelve month suspended sentence. Following Monday’s arrest, Tevepaugh was incarcerated in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $20,000 bond. She remained in jail as of earlier today (June 22). A District Court appearance is scheduled for July 10, an Superior Court date is July 17.
