Newton Woman Arrested for Failure to Appear on Stolen Vehicle Charge [UPDATED 01:30 p.m.]

34-year-old Amanda Louise Collins of Albany Drive in Newton was arrested early Friday morning (February 19) by Hickory Police on charges out of Caldwell County. She allegedly failed to appear in court in Lenoir on a charge of felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Collins was taken into custody at 12:20 a.m. Friday at a business address on Tate Boulevard S.E. in Hickory.

The suspect was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility under a $5,000 secured bond. As of this morning (February 22), Collins was no longer listed as an inmate in Catawba County. She’ll appear in District Court on March 29 in Lenoir.
